Position Overview:

As a Data Engineer at Incubeta, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our Clients’ data infrastructures. You will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining data pipelines that support clients’ marketing analytics and reporting efforts. You will be part of our Data & Analytics team in Milan, Italy closely cooperating with our local and global teams. Your expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and marketing data will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test and maintain data pipelines using GCP tools and services such as BigQuery, BQ Dataform, Cloud Functions and Apache Airflow on Composer.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data requirements and deliver efficient data solutions.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation and cleansing processes.
  • Optimize data ingestion and processing pipelines for scalability and performance.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, resolving them in a timely manner.
  • Implement best practices for data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in GCP and marketing technology to recommend and implement improvements.

Qualifications needed to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in a MarTech or marketing analytics environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Google Cloud Platform for Data Warehousing and Data Centralisation projects (BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataflow, Composer, Dataplex, Dataprep).
  • Experience with data modeling, data storage, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
  • Familiarity with marketing data sources, such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, and other marketing platforms.
  • Familiarity with Google APIs
  • Knowledge of SQL and scripting languages (pref: Python) for data manipulation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • English, read, written and spoken to a B2+ level

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Machine Learning Modules in GCP (BQML, Vertex AI)
  • Familiarity with Tensorflow framework
  • Experience with marketing data analytics and reporting tools.
  • Google Cloud professional certification Data Engineer
  • Google Cloud professional certification Machine Learning Engineer
  • Familiarity with other cloud platforms like Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure.
  • Knowledge of marketing concepts and strategies.
