Overview of this role

This Senior Project Director role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution and delivery of global, large-scale digital scope for a leading international airline operating passenger services across a global network. Operating within a complex, matrixed environment, the role requires a seasoned professional capable of navigating the intricacies of multiple concurrent projects spanning paid social, content syndication, dynamic display (DCO), video, DOOH and paid search.

The ideal candidate will be the single point of contact for the client servicing team, owning the scope, timelines, and delivery for all creative assets, including transcreation. This involves collaborating with internal delivery units across the Middle East, South Africa, and Europe, as well as bridging communication between commercial/operational teams (consultants and managers) and creative teams (design and development).

Given the global nature of the account, comfort working across multiple time zones and cultures is essential. A background in global account and project management is a must, along with the ability to thrive under pressure and effectively facilitate collaboration across diverse teams

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Drive the strategic vision for the client’s project/s, ensuring consistency, scalability, and alignment with the Creative Hub’s overarching goals.
  • Act as the strategic lead for the account, embedding best practices to ensure client satisfaction and consistent results across the projects. (working with a team including Creative Strategist, Creative Director, Head of Copy, .. etc)
  • Maintain client satisfaction by delivering high-quality global assets on time and within scope, ensuring adherence to world-class standards.
  • Anticipate and address challenges in scope, complexity, and scale, proactively unpacking and mitigating risks to achieve flawless execution.
  • Foster strong, trusted relationships with clients and internal team members, acting as a strategic advisor and escalation point for complex needs.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define, plan, and execute cross-functional campaigns, with an emphasis on digital marketing (paid social, paid search, content, video ads, guidelines), and enterprise-scale product delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with creative, technical, and commercial teams to bridge client needs with innovative production solutions.
  • Manage third-parties for copy localization and transcreation across different languages.
  • Serve as a champion of streamlined workflows, optimizing processes for task prioritization, file management, approval protocols, and quality control.
  • Report status of creative initiatives clearly, consistently and reliably to executive management and team members.
  • Meet with clients to set production strategy and manage production relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead day-to-day communication and project deliverables with internal teams.
  • Manage budget and resources to ensure project profitability.
  • Scope new projects, including developing budgets, resourcing needs and timelines.
  • Use creative platform knowledge to digest client briefs and brief the relevant creative teams, including, design, development and copywriting.

Knowledge And Experience: required skills

  • 10+ years proven experience producing one or more of the following types of digital projects for major brands or agencies: videos, websites, apps and/or complex rich media/dynamic digital advertising campaigns
  • A thorough understanding of the digital marketing process
  • Understanding of digital creatives (website creatives, social media and display ads)
  • Knowledge of demand-side creative platforms (Display & Video 360, GMP Studio) and creative formats within those platforms
  • Knowledge of paid social media advertising formats
  • Expert in industry-standard project management tools
  • Experience in modelling financials for integrated and digital campaigns
