The Role

The Marketing Intelligence Consultant will be responsible for growing key client relationships (in collaboration with Incubeta client teams), developing their marketing intelligence maturity, and positioning their data & analytics expertise to increase the understanding of the value of our solutions & Incubeta's reputation internally and externally.

The Marketing Intelligence Consultant will evolve their mindset from a business planning perspective to a business strategy perspective. They are able to track how Incubeta's Marketing Intelligence proposition helps clients attract, convert & delight their target customers. They can leverage their data & analytics experience to provide recommendations to help their clients remain competitive. They will review their clients' marketing intelligence journey in order to confirm challenges to overcome & opportunities to capitalise on to help them achieve their business goals.They will mentor junior client facing personnel and support them with best practices when building client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

KPI & Performance Management

  • Achieve GP targets, depicting year-on-year growth.
  • Receive positive client feedback in scorecard surveys.
  • Receive positive client feedback in post-project reviews.
  • Demonstrates impact on client marketing intelligence maturity, through measurement of upsell and cross-sell % into assigned clients, and success stories from partnerships.

Expertise & Solution Development

  • Demonstrates wider understanding of data and analytics on marketing in order to build rapport and get buy-in from clients.
  • Leverages data analysis & visualisations to surface actionable marketing insights, which are used to build a compelling marketing intelligence narrative for clients.
  • Advocates for the use of cutting-edge solutions & competitive technologies - such as machine learning - to help clients' business performance.
  • Recommends new analytics & data solutions to clients where gaps exist, and champions adoption within Incubeta if scalable.
  • Demonstrates understanding of client marketing teams' planning, operations and processes, measured through the adoption of their marketing intelligence recommendations.
  • Demonstrates marketing intelligence knowledge, and understanding of client challenges, through creation of blog posts, case studies & industry thought pieces.
  • Proactively engages with updates across data, analytics, and the digital marketing sector, and successfully communicates relevant insights with the team and clients.
  • Take time for research and development - stay up to date with the latest technologies, techniques and methods to inform our marketing intelligence narrative.
  • Effectively communicates value of solutions to clients using knowledge of data, analytics, and industry updates.

Delivery Improvement

  • Proposes, implements and/or contributes to ceremonies to maintain ongoing key client relationships (eg. regular performance reviews, roadmap meetings, business reviews), collaborating with other Incubeta client servicing teams as appropriate.
  • Leverages best practices & frameworks (e.g. SCQA) to communicate recommendations to clients, with evidence to back up our proposals.
  • Starts using tools & analysis techniques (e.g. SWOT) to understand their clients' organisations in more depth, and tailors their approach on the resulting insights.
  • Confidently sets objectives on engagements with clients, and ensures they are met when defining short and long term client strategies, and delivering work.
  • Keeps client objectives, customers and target audiences front of mind when consulting & providing recommendations.
  • Manages client projects efficiently when leading on them: understanding the scope and success criteria of the project, following correct procedures to ensure consistency in delivery & communication.
  • Consistently updates external and internal stakeholders on roadmap updates, milestones, and potential risks - conveying the value of Incubeta marketing intelligence solutions throughout.
  • Triages, promptly responds and understands client inquiries, and can brief in other resources to help resolve challenges & delight clients.
  • Independently delivers analytics and data solutions, leveraging best practices and scalable methods to provide impactful results.
  • Actively gathers and incorporates feedback to improve delivery.
  • Can review and improve quality of project documentation & deliverables where needed.

Client Engagement & Growth

  • Cultivates strong and lasting relationships with clients through ownership of communication, and demonstrates understanding of their needs, expectations & goals, as measured through feedback.
  • Ensures that all assigned high tier clients have a roadmap that outlines the strategic direction & advancement of marketing intelligence maturity through analytics & data solutions, by understanding their challenges & business objectives.
  • Builds value propositions of analytics and data solutions, and can fit marketing intelligence into wider narrative of Incubeta impact on clients with evidence.
  • Provides impactful contributions to pitches, new business opportunities and upselling - creating assets, presenting expertise & storytelling our vision where needed.
  • Utilises their creativity and storytelling skills to present insights to clients and generate new opportunities.
  • Owns their high tier clients, proactively providing recommendations & solutions to them - co-ordinating priorities where relevant.
  • Successfully upsells additional solutions, in line with clients' objectives through understanding and knowledge of Incubeta offering.
  • Performs analysis & communicates data led insights, which are used to inform clients about their overall business, to support them in their marketing & budgeting decisions.
  • Demonstrates ownership of client communication with both internal & external stakeholders to achieve client objectives.
  • Presents technical information to non-technical stakeholders clearly and confidently.
  • Can lead business workshops with cross-functional client teams and ensure the resulting deliverables meet clients' expectations, working with Incubeta client teams as required.
  • Engages audiences through effective presentations.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Fosters strong relationships with Incubeta teams across EMEA through mutual collaboration and feedback.
  • Manages MI consultancy personnel in their market. Provides mentoring & coaching to support their development, oversees their outputs and act as escalation where required.
  • Creates a performance-first culture in their team: rewarding innovation and technical excellence, and inspiring market-leading work.
  • Develop & progress direct reports through feedback, direction & leadership.
  • Support in the creation of L&D materials to help establish consistency in knowledge & storytelling.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in digital analytics, consultancy, or client management, with a proven track record of delivering impactful data insights and projects.
  • Demonstrable impact of measurement & data solutions
  • Proven experience working in digital analytics & data, with proficiency in:
    • Web analytics platforms (inc. GA4)
    • Tag management systems (inc. GTM)
    • Data warehouses (inc. BigQuery)
    • Data visualisation tools (inc. Looker Studio)
    • Cloud solutions (inc. GCP)
    • Analysis
    • Modelling
  • Strong client relationship management skills with an emphasis on client satisfaction and business growth.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and the ability to apply this knowledge to client solutions.
  • Deep understanding of media & customer lifecycle.
  • Expertise in how to measure, target and optimise audience strategy.
