Audit and Tax Manager

Incubeta seeks to appoint an Audit and Tax Manager as part of its Group Finance team. The successful candidate will take ownership of the statutory financial reporting, including audit and tax, of ±30 entities and assisting with the group consolidation.

Key Responsibilities

Audit and Statutory reporting

  • Assisting the Group CFO/Group Technical Accountant with global audit co-ordination.
  • Preparation of Group-level annual audit requirements, including working papers and notes in support of the individual and consolidated annual financial statements.
  • Preparation of financial statements for some of the entities as well as Group Consolidation.
  • Note: multiple countries and multiple reporting standards, IFRS being the Group’s standard.
  • Compliance monitoring of statutory reports & filings globally.
  • Preparation of earnout statements for contingent consideration payments.



International tax

  • Co-ordination of tax filings globally, working with in-country specialists.
  • Assisting the Group CFO/Group Technical Accountant with Transfer Pricing compliance.
  • Working with in-country advisors to minimize withholding tax suffered on payments from customers in foreign jurisdictions.
  • Point of contact for customer contract reviews where there are global implications and withholding taxes.

Management

  • 1 Direct report.
  • Liaison and co-ordination of deliverables with different finance teams in Cape Town, London, USA, Netherlands, Italy and Spain.

Skills required

  • Qualified CA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA with previous audit management and tax experience. Multi-currency consolidation experience will be a bonus.
  • Computer literacy including experience of accounting software packages.
  • Good knowledge of accounting procedures and principles.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
  • Proficient with email and spreadsheets.
