Incubeta is a digital marketing company poised for rapid growth and expansion. We are seeking a dynamic and visionary finance leader to establish and lead our newly formed Treasury function as the Head of Treasury. This role presents a unique opportunity for a strategic thinker to build the foundation of our treasury operations, optimise financial resources, and ensure effective risk management in alignment with our ambitious financial goals.

As the Head of Treasury & FX, your mission will be to establish and shape the company's treasury operations from the ground up. Your strategic insights, expertise in financial management, and hands-on approach will be instrumental in defining and executing treasury strategies, policies, and processes. This role requires a visionary leader who can build a treasury function that enhances our financial resilience and maximizes value creation.

Key Responsibilities

Cash & Liquidity Management

  • Develop and manage systems to forecast, monitor, and manage cash flows effectively, ensuring optimal liquidity to support daily operations and growth initiatives;
  • Establish and manage relationships with banks and financial institutions, negotiate banking terms, and set up efficient banking structures;
  • Develop an investment strategy for surplus funds, aligning risk and return with the company's financial objectives;
  • Oversee the newly implemented CashAnalytics solution to ensure reliability of information for treasury management decision making;
  • Evaluate and implement treasury management systems and technology solutions that streamline processes and enhance visibility.

Foreign Exchange

  • Develop and implement strategies to manage currency risks arising from fluctuations in foreign exchange rates;
  • Design and execute hedging strategies using financial instruments such as forward contracts, options, and currency swaps. Monitor the effectiveness of these strategies and adjust them as needed to align with changing market conditions;
  • Conduct thorough analysis of the company's foreign currency exposures, considering foreign-denominated debt and overseas operations. Quantify the potential impact of currency fluctuations on financial performance;
  • Collaborate with finance teams to integrate foreign exchange considerations into budgeting and forecasting processes. Provide insights on potential currency-related impacts on financial performance;
  • Provide foreign exchange risk assessments and due diligence support for mergers, acquisitions, and international expansion efforts.
  • Educate internal stakeholders on foreign exchange risk management, helping them understand the implications of currency fluctuations on the company's financial health.

Governance

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in treasury operations. Establish internal controls and reporting mechanisms;
  • Design and implement the treasury strategy, policies, and framework tailored to the company's unique needs and growth objectives;
  • Create treasury processes (some from scratch) including liquidity management, risk assessment, and investment policies;
  • Design and implement strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including interest rate risk, foreign exchange exposure, and commodity price volatility.
  • Design of treasury and FX reporting to meet business and shareholder requirements.

Skills required

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. MBA or professional certification (e.g., CTP, CFA) is advantageous.
  • Proven track record of creating and leading treasury functions from the ground up.
  • Expertise in treasury management principles, risk management strategies, and financial instruments.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align treasury strategies with broader business goals.
